Adopt-a-Dog-Board is an informational service that highlights adoptable dogs from independent shelters and rescues in the Rochester, New York area. We are not a shelter and do not own, house, or rehome dogs ourselves.

Adoptions happen through shelters

All adoptions are handled by the listed shelter or rescue under their own policies, fees, and screening. Links from this site take you to those organizations. We make no guarantee about the availability, temperament, health, or suitability of any dog.

Accuracy of listings

We work to keep listings current, but availability changes quickly. Always confirm details directly with the shelter before making plans. Some listings are sourced from partner adoption networks and may update automatically.
